Forum - Stereotypes, analysis, image deconstruction. Tools of creation and analysis and vision of the Other - Muriel Andrin

Beyond our legitimate fascination at the cinematographicexperience, during which our critical capacity is most of the time voluntarily `suspended', it is necessary (and time) however to wonder what is behind these images which define visually and narratively the relations between women and new technologies. How do we decode these representations? How do we train our eyes to read an image built with the admitted aim of entertaining us, and moreover, the underlying purpose of imposing a vision of the world? How do we go from filmic blindness to discover what these virtual bodies truly conceal? ` ‘Tricks’ but also discussion and aesthetic, narrative and ideological interrogation which will cover the emblematical examples of Matrix I & II, and Terminator III.
