Stepulevage Linda


Linda Stepulevage is a senior lecturer in the Department of Innovation
Studies, and teaches on interdisciplinary degree programmes. She has an
educational background in the social sciences and computer science and has
worked as a secretary and a computing professional before becoming an
educator and researcher. Her teaching is concerned with exclusionary
practices in relation to ICTs, and with the development of technical skills
such as database design. Her research is also concerned with these
practices. She explores relations of gender, class, 'race' and sexuality
through both autobiography and research in IT and computer science
education. She has published articles about students' experiences on
computing courses, the construction of a technological subjectivity, and
issues of sexuality within analyses of gender-technology relations. computing.
